Morphor
is a Ghent-based collective of engineers, musicians, and artists who design and manufacture analog Eurorack synthesizer modules. The collective is known for its "radical acoustic ideas" and intuitive user experience
Founded in 2022, Morphor launched its first module, the fully analog AP-1 string synthesizer, via a successful Kickstarter campaign. The company's work is facilitated by its connection to its parent engineering firm, ENT Studios, which supports Morphor's production, R&D, and acoustic work.
The core philosophy of Morphor is built on four principles:
-
"Less is more": Modules are focused on specific functions, which encourages deeper exploration and creativity.
-
Sustainability: The company is dedicated to using high-quality, durable components and eco-friendly practices, including paper-based packaging.
-
Collaboration: Morphor actively seeks feedback from the modular synth community during its design process.
-
Personality: The collective aims to create unique, high-quality products with a distinct musical character and personal connection to the craft.
-

Following the successful launch of the AP-1, Morphor expanded its product line to include both utility and creative modules:
-
AP-1
(Analogue Plectrum): An analog string synthesis module based on the Karplus-Strong principle.
-
ECHON 6
: A 6-voice polyphonic BBD synthesizer.
-
Echo
: An analog quad-tap BBD stereo delay.
-
Ensemble
: An analog 8-voice BBD chorus.
-
Sequencer
: A 4HP quad gate/CV sequencer.
-
Utility modules: These include a mixer, buffered multiple, and dual VCA, which were developed to help the team refine its manufacturing process.
All modules are designed, assembled, and tested in-house at their laboratory in Belgium.
